Indirect Bilirubin

Indirect Bilirubin – insoluble in water, neurotoxic, and forms soluble reversible complexes with albumin. Indirect (unconjugated) bilirubin increases with hemolysis, newborn jaundice, vitamin B12, and folic acid deficiency anemia.

Recommendations:

• It is recommended to perform prophylactically once a year, for disease diagnosis and treatment control, it is performed periodically according to the doctor's instructions.
• Medications and diet (including dietary supplements) can affect the test results.
• Fasting for 12 hours is required before the test.
