IgM | Immunoglobulin M

Immunoglobulin M (IgM) - these are immunoglobulins that make up about 7% of the total plasma immunoglobulins. This immunoglobulin is the first to react to an antigenic stimulus. IgM concentration decreases: it is rare and the decrease is associated with recurrent pyrogenic infections. IgM concentration increases: in cases of primary biliary cirrhosis, hemoprotozoan infections such as malaria, viral or bacterial infections, and rheumatoid arthritis, as well as in malignant lymphoma.
