Consultations with Laboratory Specialists
Tests
A consultation with a laboratory specialist can be useful when it is difficult to choose the right test, unclear how to prepare for it, or you want to better understand the laboratory results you have already received. REZUS offers consultations both in-person and remotely, and it is also possible to discuss results from tests conducted elsewhere.
How can a laboratory specialist help?
During the consultation, you can discuss what a specific indicator measures, what circumstances might affect the result, whether the test is worth repeating, and what additional laboratory indicators might be logically related to the issue being examined. This is especially useful when you have many separate results and want to understand their interrelationships.
A laboratory result must always be evaluated in context. A slight deviation from the laboratory's reference range does not always indicate a disease, and a normal result does not always rule out a problem if there are prominent symptoms.
A consultation with a laboratory specialist does not replace a doctor's examination and diagnosis. If the results are related to new or severe symptoms, a change in treatment, or a potentially serious illness, further decisions should be made by a doctor.
