Yersiniosis is an infectious disease caused by the Yersinia enterocolitica bacterium. Infection occurs by consuming contaminated vegetables and meat products, as bacteria carriers can be dogs, cats, pigs, cattle, and especially rodents (mice, rats). Bacteria multiply at temperatures of 2-25°C. The main clinical symptoms: stomach and intestinal pain, fever can rise to 38-39°C or more, pain in the right lower abdomen (often suspected appendicitis, in women - right ovary inflammation), frequent (mushy) stools, rash manifested as red, itchy pimples that appear only on the extremities and trunk, increased sweating, weakness.
IgG antibodies determine the chronic course of the disease, as well as evaluate the effectiveness of treatment.
