ROMA Scale: Premenopause
The validity period of online orders: 3 months from the purchase date.
Description
What is it?
The ROMA test is applied similarly as in the case of postmenopause, but assessing the risk for women who have not yet reached menopause. The same markers – HE4 and CA-125 – are used, only the calculation is adjusted according to the premenopausal hormonal background.
When is it recommended?
- In case of an ovarian cyst or other formation;
- For women with a genetic predisposition to oncological diseases (e.g., BRCA mutations);
- If there are cases of ovarian or uterine cancer in the family history.
Benefits:
Helps to assess whether the formation is likely benign or if urgent consultation with an oncogynecologist is necessary. Can help avoid unnecessary invasive procedures or, conversely, not miss risky cases.
