ROMA scale: premenopause
The validity period of online orders: 3 months from the purchase date.
Description
What is it?
The ROMA test is applied similarly to the postmenopausal case, but it assesses the risk for women who have not yet reached menopause. The same markers are used – HE4 and CA-125 – but the calculation is adjusted according to the premenopausal hormonal background.
When is it recommended?
- In the presence of an ovarian cyst or other formation;
- For women with a genetic predisposition to oncological diseases (e.g., BRCA mutations);
- If there is a family history of ovarian or uterine cancer.
Benefits:
Helps evaluate whether a formation is likely benign or requires urgent consultation with an oncogynecologist. It can help avoid unnecessary invasive procedures or conversely – not miss risky cases.
