Attention! QuantiFERON-TB | Tuberculosis test is performed on days I-IV, with the specimen submitted by 4 PM. The test is not performed on Fridays and pre-holiday days.

Respiratory tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by the tuberculosis mycobacterium (TM) (Mycobacterium tuberculosis), spreading through the air with particles. The main TM source is a person with an open lung TB form.

The interferon-gamma test QuantiFERON®-TB Gold, developed by Qiagen, a leader in global in vitro diagnostic technologies and molecular biology innovations, protects from the stress experienced by a patient who receives a false positive tuberculosis response – this test does not react with the tuberculosis vaccine.
