Antibodies against deamidated gliadin peptide epitopes IgG (Anti-DGP-IgG)

What is it?
This is a similar test to Anti-DGP-IgA, but IgG class antibodies are determined. This test is useful for diagnosing celiac disease in patients with low IgA levels (e.g., those with IgA deficiency).

How is it performed?
The test is performed from venous blood. Gluten consumption should not be stopped – it may affect the results.

When is it recommended?

• When celiac disease is suspected, but the IgA response is insufficient;
• Together with other celiac disease tests (e.g., anti-TG2);
• For patients with nonspecific symptoms and suspected gluten intolerance.

Benefits:
This test helps detect celiac disease in patients for whom other common markers may be uninformative. It is suitable for alternative assessment.
