Description

Antibodies against cyclic citrullinated peptide (Anti-CCP) are one of the most sensitive and specific laboratory markers for the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis. These antibodies can be detected in the body before clear clinical symptoms appear, allowing the test to identify the disease early and start treatment. Anti-CCP helps to differentiate rheumatoid arthritis from other forms of arthritis, such as osteoarthritis or infectious arthritis.
