Anti – HBs | Antibodies against hepatitis B surface antigen

Antibodies against hepatitis B surface antigen (Anti-HBs) – can be detected several weeks after the disappearance of HBsAg. Anti-HBs can form after infection with hepatitis B or after hepatitis B vaccination. Anti-HBs tests are used in the sphere of hepatitis B vaccination to check the need for revaccination or success (whether immunity has formed). Additionally, anti-HBs tests are used to monitor the course of the disease after acute hepatitis B infection.
