Radiology
X-ray imaging is a diagnostic method that uses ionizing radiation to obtain images of body structures. It is often chosen for assessing bone injuries, joint changes, chest organs, and other conditions where an X-ray image can provide diagnostic information.
X-ray of one or multiple directions
X-ray imaging of the same body area can be performed in one, two, or more projections. More projections allow the structure to be seen from different angles, but the number is chosen based on the area being examined and the diagnostic purpose – not every case requires the same number of images.
X-ray examinations are quick but use a small dose of ionizing radiation. Therefore, the examination should be performed when its diagnostic benefit is justified. Inform the staff about pregnancy or its possibility before undergoing an X-ray examination.
REZUS performs X-ray and mammography examinations of different body areas. When choosing an examination, it is important to order the specific anatomical area and number of projections indicated by the doctor or needed for the specific study.
