Paternitysafe® (second and additional tested men)

Paternitysafe® is a non-invasive prenatal test that allows determining whether a person is the biological father of a child before birth. The test uses a blood sample from the mother and a buccal swab from the potential father. The fetal DNA extracted from the mother's blood and the potential father's DNA are analyzed to determine biological paternity based on genetic matching. 

If necessary, multiple potential fathers can be tested.

The test is not performed if the potential fathers are identical twins. The test is not applicable if the pregnancy is dichorionic twin. Results are provided as a match (biological paternity confirmed) or a mismatch (biological paternity denied).

Processing time after laboratory receipt:  10-15 business days.
