Determination of Cellular Immunity (CD3, CD4, CD8, CD16, CD19)

What is it? 

It is an immunological test used to assess the main immune cells – T lymphocytes (CD3, CD4, CD8), B lymphocytes (CD19) and NK (natural killers, CD16). The test allows for the evaluation of the functional state of the immune system. 

When is it recommended? 

• Suspected immunodeficiency (primary or acquired); 
• For chronic infections, autoimmune or oncological diseases; 
• After organ transplantation, chemotherapy, or immunosuppressive treatment; 
• Assessing HIV infection (especially CD4 cell count). 

Benefits: 

The test helps to evaluate the body's ability to defend against infections, control chronic inflammations, and form an appropriate immune response. It allows making decisions regarding the need for treatment or additional tests.
