Fertility tests are the first step in planning to expand the family. They help assess a woman's reproductive health, identify possible obstacles to conception, and take timely measures. Preventive testing is especially important if pregnancy does not occur over a longer period, the woman is of an older age, or simply wants to ensure that the body is ready.
Why is the fertility testing program important?
- To assess overall health - blood, urine, and organ function tests are performed.
- To check the condition of the reproductive system - hormones responsible for ovulation, cycle regulation, and conception are evaluated.
- For the balance of microelements and vitamins - the levels of folic acid, vitamin D, and other important substances are determined.
- For infection control - certain infections can hinder conception or pose a risk to pregnancy.
- For responsible planning - comprehensive information about health status allows for the selection of appropriate treatment or supportive measures if needed.
When is it recommended to perform tests?
- It is advisable to perform tests:
- if pregnancy does not occur for more than 12 months (or more than 6 months if the woman is over 35),
- before planning the first pregnancy,
- with menstrual cycle disorders or suspected hormone imbalance issues,
- in cases of unexplained miscarriages or pregnancy complications.
Note: Blood and cervical scraping samples are taken for this testing program. The sampling procedures require two visits: for blood sampling on the specified cycle days (3rd-5th day of the cycle) and for cervical scraping and remaining samples on the 21st day of the cycle. Additional charges apply: one-time blood sampling, scraping sampling, and liquid medium cost.
