Rezus.lt rushes to help people: opens new mobile testing points
As COVID-19 morbidity indicators continue to worsen in Lithuania, the opportunity passport comes into effect, and foreign countries impose stricter requirements for incoming tourists, various coronavirus tests have become even more relevant for many residents of the country. Many have to visit testing points before work or while planning leisure time, causing additional concerns and inconveniences. In response to these changes, the blood laboratory UAB 'Rezus.lt' from Šiauliai is opening new mobile testing points across Lithuania, where coronavirus tests are performed quickly in highly convenient locations.
'Our main priority is to help people under the challenging conditions of the pandemic. We understand our clients' headaches when they have to rush to work or catch a flight on time, needing to travel to the other side of the city just to take a necessary test. That's why we work every day not only serving hundreds of people who come to test but also constantly expanding our list of mobile testing points to ease their concerns at least a little,' says Aurėja Kazlauskaitė, the project development manager at 'Rezus.lt'.
The blood laboratory UAB 'Rezus.lt' performs most COVID-19 tests specifically at mobile testing points – 4 such points operate in Vilnius, Šiauliai, and Klaipėda, near shopping centers 'Akropolis' and 'Ozas'. For more than half a year now, testing is possible 24/7 at airport terminals in Vilnius, Kaunas, and before and after flights in Palanga.
According to a representative of UAB 'Rezus.lt', the locations of mobile points are not chosen randomly – the ability to take a test at airports is especially important for travelers who receive the necessary documents right before the flight, eliminating the need to plan additional visits to laboratories. Near major shopping centers, people conveniently test before work, and these locations offer easy access, allowing people to arrive and take the necessary test without wasting additional time.
The uniqueness of mobile points is the extremely fast coronavirus test results. You can come anytime upon registration, and those not registered can wait in a 'live' queue to take the desired test. Those who wish to avoid traffic, queues, or are calculating the validity period of the opportunity passport can test even at night – such an option is available at mobile points near airports. According to A. Kazlauskaitė, if in the summer people were mostly testing for travel, now there's a higher flow before weekends and at the start of the week – people respond to the requirements of the opportunity passport, so they come to mobile points before work or when planning weekend activities.
'First of all, we focus on making our services available in places where it's truly convenient for people to access them – we must save our clients' time, as sometimes every hour counts. SARS-CoV-2 rapid antigen tests at our mobile points are performed in 20-30 minutes, making it extremely convenient for people at airports to arrive before their journey and proceed directly to their flight. If a COVID-19 test is required using the PCR method, arriving by 12 PM, or by 11 AM in Klaipėda, clients receive test results the same evening. If the client arrives later, results are received the following evening,' says the project development manager at 'Rezus.lt'.
The challenges of the pandemic are no exception for the company from Šiauliai. The desire to help people and provide opportunities for the most convenient testing meets the need to react flexibly to changes, make quick decisions, and wisely evaluate business plans.
'We are a small family business, so we sometimes solve emerging problems right over lunch. Creating long-term plans is difficult, as everything can turn upside down any day. However, our goal is to help clients solve problems they face daily, even if it means not counting work hours. We constantly encourage people to test and vaccinate against the virus so that our country’s residents can acquire immunity as quickly as possible and everyone can return to their usual rhythm of life. But we also strive not to remain stagnant – our laboratory has been successfully operating for 12 years before the pandemic, so we always create new ideas on how to improve our activities,' adds A. Kazlauskaitė.
