
Prof. Vaidotas Urbonas
The doctor is a specialist in children's gastrointestinal disorders and nutrition, with interests in celiac disease, malabsorption syndrome, food allergies, gastroesophageal reflux disease, functional and liver diseases, and liver transplantation. Recognized for scientific achievements, awarded Vilnius Medical Prizes, international conference awards in Boston and Geneva, and honored with the January 13th Commemorative Medal. The Lithuanian Ministry of Education has awarded honorary diplomas for the preparation of the textbook "Children's Diseases" and for the scientific work implemented in practice.

The doctor is a laureate of Vilnius Medical First and Third Prizes. His presentations have also been awarded at international conferences: at the I World Congress of Pediatricians in 2000 in Boston (USA), at the European Gastroenterology Week (UEGW) in 2002 in Geneva (Switzerland). The doctor was awarded the January 13th Commemorative Medal in 2004. The Lithuanian Ministry of Education presented an honorary diploma for the textbook "Children's Diseases" (to the team of authors). In 2011, an honorary diploma was awarded for scientific works implemented in practice.
