Aluminum

Aluminum is considered one of the pathogenetic factors of Alzheimer's disease. Conducting aluminum testing can be important for patients undergoing dialysis. During kidney dialysis, increased levels of aluminum can cause encephalopathy and bone osteomalacia. Excess aluminum inhibits the synthesis and secretion of parathyroid hormone. The removal of aluminum toxicity often regulates the synthesis and secretion of parathyroid hormone and restores normal bone formation.
