The basic health check price is indicated. In the presence of additional risk factors specified in the health check regulation order V-301 by the Minister of Health, additional tests may be assigned by the doctor's decision, paid according to Rezus.lt rates.

How to prepare for a driver's health check?

When coming for a health check for a driver's license, bring with you:

1. Identity card;
2. Ophthalmologist consultation conclusion;
3. Otolaryngologist (ENT) consultation extract/certificate;
4. Driver's license (if health is checked repeatedly);
5. Psychiatrist's (mental health center) certificate. People who do not know which psychiatric institution they belong to for a psychiatrist's extract should consult their family doctor or privately consult with UAB Rezus.lt working psychiatrist;
6. Personal health history (ambulatory card) or form No. 027/a issued by the family doctor**;
7. On-site completion of the driver's honor declaration, OMA questionnaire, and EPWORTH sleepiness scale.

Other important information:

1. Neurologist's conclusion on the ability to drive for patients suffering from any form of epilepsy;

** For people who do not have a valid family doctor's form No. 027/a (about health status), or if the clinic where the patient is registered is not in Šiauliai city, also for those not registered in Lithuania, the mandatory health check is performed on-site (tests, electrocardiogram).

How is the health check conducted to obtain a driver's health certificate?

Various health checks are performed in the clinic to obtain a medical certificate for drivers:

• Blood pressure assessment;
• Heart rate (pulse);
• Hearing;
• Vision;
• Vestibular function test may be performed;
• Color sensitivity assessment may also be performed;
• Electrocardiogram;
• Blood/urine tests;
• The doctor evaluates the patient's health history, i.e., whether they have comorbidities, chronic diseases, previous surgeries, medications they use, etc.;
• A psychologist or psychiatrist consultation is important to assess the driver's mental health condition.

If specialists determine during the health examination that the person's health condition is suitable for driving – the medical health certificate is received immediately and included in esveikata.lt. After the clinic visit, the driver's health certificate is also visible on the 'Regitros' website.

When might a driver not be issued a driver's health certificate?

In some cases, a driver's health certificate may not be issued, for example, if a person has health disorders that could affect safe driving.

Medical certificate for drivers may not be granted if the person:

• Has poor vision;
• Suffers from epilepsy;
• Has severe heart or lung disease;
• Has high uncorrected blood pressure;
• Has significantly weakened hearing, etc.;
• Is completely deaf.

The health certificate may also not be issued if the person has certain psychoses and personality disorders when awareness is impaired, inappropriate behavior occurs, etc. A medical certificate for a driver may not be issued if, for some reasons, they refuse necessary tests or do not disclose the truth about their health condition.

Inspection frequency:

• Up to 60 years - once every 5 years, the certificate is issued for a period not longer than until the person turns 62 years old;
• From 60 years - once every 2 years.

Certificates are issued ONLY electronically.

• VSP can be issued to persons not more than one year younger than the age specified in Article 23, Part 2 of the Road Safety Act, from which driving of the respective category vehicle is allowed. In cases where the minimum driver age is determined not by this law, but by other legal acts, the provisions of the relevant legal acts apply.
