Description
Fertility tests are the first step in planning to expand the family. They help assess a woman's reproductive health, identify possible obstacles to conception, and take timely measures. Preventive screening is especially important if pregnancy does not occur over a long period, the woman is older, or she just wants to ensure the body is ready.
Why is the fertility examination program important?
- For general health assessment – blood, urine, and organ function tests are performed.
- To check the condition of the reproductive system – hormones responsible for ovulation, cycle regulation, and conception are evaluated.
- For the balance of microelements and vitamins – the amount of folic acid, vitamin D, and other important substances is determined.
- For infection control – certain infections may hinder conception or pose a risk to pregnancy.
- For responsible planning – detailed information about health status allows choosing the right treatment or auxiliary measures, if necessary.
When is it recommended to conduct tests?
- It is advisable to conduct tests:
- if pregnancy does not succeed for more than 12 months (or more than 6 months if the woman is over 35),
- before planning the first pregnancy,
- if there are menstrual cycle disorders or suspected hormone balance issues,
- in the case of miscarriages of unclear origin or pregnancy complications.
Note: Blood samples are taken for this examination program. The sampling procedures are conducted twice: on the 3rd-5th and 21st day of the cycle. Additional fees apply: blood sampling (once).
