Description
Fertility tests are the first step in planning family growth. They help assess a woman's reproductive health, identify potential obstacles to conception, and take timely measures. Preventive examination is particularly important if pregnancy does not occur over an extended period, the woman is of older age, or just wants to ensure her body is ready.
Why is the fertility examination program important?
- For general health assessment – blood, urine, and organ function tests are performed.
- To check the state of the reproductive system – hormones responsible for ovulation, cycle regulation, and conception are evaluated.
- For the balance of microelements and vitamins – the amount of folic acid, vitamin D, and other important substances is determined.
- For infection control – certain infections can hinder conception or pose a risk to pregnancy.
- For responsible planning – detailed information about health status allows for the selection of appropriate treatment or auxiliary measures if needed.
When is it recommended to perform the tests?
- It is advisable to perform the tests:
- if pregnancy does not occur for more than 12 months (or more than 6 months if the woman is over 35 years old),
- before planning the first pregnancy,
- if there are menstrual cycle disorders or suspected hormonal imbalance issues,
- in the case of unexplained miscarriages or pregnancy complications.
Note: Blood samples are taken for this examination program. The sampling procedures require two visits: on the 3-5th day of the cycle and the 21st day of the cycle. Additional charges apply: blood sampling (once).
