Description

The certificate is issued on the same day only if you have a psychiatrist's (mental health center) certificate.

The basic health check price is indicated. If there are additional risk factors specified in the order of the Minister of Health V-301 regulating the procedure for driver's health checks, the doctor may prescribe additional tests to be paid according to Rezus.lt rates.

How to prepare for a driver's health check?

When coming for a health check for a driver's license, have with you:

  1. Identity card;
  2. Driver's license (if health is being checked again);
  3. Psychiatrist's (mental health center) certificate. Individuals who do not know which psychiatric institution they belong to should contact their family doctor or consult with a psychiatrist working at UAB Rezus.lt to obtain a psychiatrist's extract;
  4. Personal health history (ambulatory card) or form No. 027/a** issued by a family doctor.

Other important information:

  1. Ophthalmologist's consultation for every candidate for drivers, checking health for the first time;
  2. Ophthalmologist's consultation for patients over 70 years old;
  3. Ophthalmologist's consultation for patients driving 2nd category vehicles;
  4. Neurologist's conclusion on the ability to drive for patients with any form of epilepsy;

** For individuals who do not have a valid family doctor's form No. 027/a (about health status), or the clinic where the patient is registered is not in Šiauliai city, as well as those not registered in Lithuania, the mandatory health check is performed on site (tests, electrocardiogram are performed).

How does the health check take place to get a driver's health certificate?

To obtain a medical certificate for drivers, various health checks are performed in the clinic:

  • Assessment of blood pressure;
  • Heart rate (pulse);
  • Hearing;
  • Vision;
  • Vestibular apparatus function test can be performed;
  • Color sensitivity assessment can also be performed additionally;
  • Electrocardiogram is performed;
  • Blood / urine tests;
  • The doctor assesses the patient's health history, i.e., whether he has any concomitant chronic diseases, previous surgeries, what medications he takes, etc.;
  • Psychologist or psychiatrist consultation is important, during which the driver's mental health condition is assessed.

If during the health check specialists determine that the person's health condition is suitable for driving, the medical health certificate is received immediately and included in esveikata.lt. After the visit to the clinic, the driver's health certificate is also visible on the „Regitros” website.

When can a driver's health certificate not be issued?

In some cases, the driver's health certificate may not be issued, for example, if the person has health disorders that may influence safe driving.

Medical certificate for drivers may not be provided if the person:

  • Has poor vision;
  • Has epilepsy;
  • Has severe heart or lung disease;
  • Has high uncorrected blood pressure;
  • Has significantly impaired hearing, etc.;
  • Has total deafness.

The health certificate may also not be issued if the person has certain psychoses and personality disorders, when awareness is impaired, inappropriate behavior occurs, etc. A medical certificate for drivers may not be issued if, for example, the person refuses to undergo the necessary examinations for certain reasons or does not tell the truth about his health condition.
