Toxocora Canis IgG antibodies

IgG class antibodies can be detected as early as the second to third week from the onset of infection and they persist for a long time or for a lifetime. IgG antibodies indicate that the infection with toxocariasis occurred a long time ago, but if the IgG antibody titer increases in repeated tests, it may be that the toxocariasis process has intensified or there was a reinfection. All samples with borderline results are retested after 2–3 weeks and changes in the tests are evaluated.
