Rezus.lt 15 years in the market: customer loyalty and expansion

The medical research laboratory “Rezus.lt”, operating for 15 years and based in Šiauliai, can today boast a team of more than 200 specialists and expanded services in six Lithuanian cities. In addition to research, “Rezus.lt” offers family medicine, home nursing, laboratory diagnostics, and specialist medical consultations.

“We have always been known as a reliable research laboratory. In recent years, more than 50 new colleagues have joined us, most of them doctors. Every doctor's decision is based on diagnostics, which also enhances patients' health literacy. We strive to show patients that tests are important not only for diagnosing diseases but also for their prevention,” says project development manager Aurėja Čalnarė.

The clinics are expanding their range of services throughout Lithuania, including the Rezus.lt clinic operating in Vilnius PPC “Ozas” since 2022. The strategically convenient location of the clinic, convenient parking, the ability to quickly receive medical services, and quickly get test results met expectations, and this year the clinic expanded not only in size but also in treatment services. The Rezus.lt laboratory, where tests are conducted, is very close - just a few kilometers away in the Santara Clinics medical campus. The service package of the Rezus.lt clinic in PPC “Ozas” is formed considering the intense lifestyle of modern people. The offered services include laboratory tests, vaccinations, doctor consultations (in-person or remote), preventive health checks for medical certificates (for work, drivers, school), and emergency family doctor assistance on weekends. Clinic visitors also appreciated the new service launched at the end of the summer - personal and group exercise with a physiotherapist.

“Rezus.lt” director Daiva Kazlauskienė draws attention to the law coming into force on January 1, 2025, according to which drivers will not be able to drive without a health certificate. These days it is difficult to get to your family clinic for a certificate, so drivers are invited to visit Rezus.lt clinics.

“As we approach the beginning of next year when it will not be possible to drive a car without a health certificate, we have reorganized the work of the PPC “Ozas” clinic so that we can accommodate as many driver health checks as possible. The expanded clinic in the shopping center accepts patients every day and on weekends, which is very convenient for working people,” comments the manager. “During checks, the general condition of the person, blood pressure, pulse rate, hearing and vision functions, and other physical characteristics that may affect driving ability are checked. Also, to determine possible health disorders or diseases and taking into account the person's personal characteristics and age, medical tests are carried out: blood, urine, electrocardiogram, and others.”

“Rezus.lt” aims to be a modern, green organization, so test orders, results, and patient medical history are kept only on computer media, and all information is transmitted to e-health.

“Reducing the generation of infected waste, the use of vacuum systems, the generation of packaging waste, using minimal amounts of test material samples, preparing packaging materials for sample transportation, reusing them, reducing the generation of chemical waste, controlling the quantities of chemicals through the management of supplies used for tests - these are the challenges we face in our daily work,” discusses the changes in modernizing medical tests, deputy director for management U. Selvenienė.

This policy of the institution is liked by young specialists, and they make up the majority of the team.

“A few years ago, a decision was made to abandon paper forms, orders, and filling of outpatient cards, thus saving paper consumption. Also, this summer we launched a self-service system for patients, which enables patients not only to carry out pre-registration, order the necessary laboratory tests, pay for services, but also monitor the results of performed tests and their dynamics in their personal account,” emphasizes the deputy.

As society's needs grow, the Rezus.lt team, creating a quality, honest, and open system, strives to be reliable for their patients. In 2023, more than 85 thousand patients were served and 1.6 million tests were performed. By the end of 2024, it is expected that the number of patients will increase or even more - currently, services have been provided to more than 70 thousand visitors at Rezus.lt branches. Patients returning annually motivate to provide the most professional medical services and improve them.

Every company's manager participates in planning the company's future and growth. Rezus.lt deputy director U. Selvenienė notes that in the past four years, the company's growth has been very significant, both in terms of the volume of services and the team of professionals that has been added.

“The goal is to improve the accessibility and quality of services provided in the coming years and to improve existing processes. With the management, we set the task - by 2026 to create and implement a Patient Service Standard. We understand that we cannot stop, the health sector is growing very strongly, the average age of the population is increasing, more and more services are needed to maintain the health condition of older people, so this year we will open the doors of a new rehabilitation center in the medical services complex being developed in Šiauliai,” shares future plans U. Selvenienė.

Patient loyalty, long-term partner trust, and an experienced team of specialists have grown the Rezus.lt company, which is a family business managed by two generations. The women of the family hold leadership positions and lead the team.

“I can be proud that we have scientific staff in the team and actively engage in experimental activities to create new products. Today, we, both independently and through partnerships, participate in three projects. One of them is an experimental scientific research project “Roboticization of Medical Diagnostics Laboratory” under the call “InoProgress” announced by the Innovation Agency, which aims to modernize and robotize certain laboratory processes. Another is a very advanced project in the development of the EU investment action program progress measure “To create a consistent innovation activity promotion system” “InoStart”. We also received European Union support under the project “To improve the quality and accessibility of health care services in Šiauliai city municipality”. This support is intended to equip the team of specialists providing home nursing services with the necessary equipment,” presents the project development manager A. Čalnarė.

What motivates the “Rezus.lt” team to strive for high results every day? According to A. Čalnarė, it is the desire to create an attractive working environment for their medical staff, as it directly affects the quality of patient service. Investment is made in the development of specialists, training, and updating of technologies, as treatment must always be based on reliable diagnostics.

With the long-term trust of patients and experienced specialists, “Rezus.lt” firmly moves forward, aiming to become a reliable participant and partner in the Lithuanian health care system.
